Nach 6 Monaten Bauzeit hab ich meine Phantom der VMFA-115 „Silver Eagles“ endlich fertig. Da ich vor ca. 2 Jahren schon die Boeing F/A-18 A+ derselben Staffel gebaut habe, war mir sofort klar, dass es dieses farbenfrohe Version sein musste! Der Bausatz kommt von Hasegawa und ließ sich ohne größere Probleme bauen. Natürlich sind dem Modellbauer, was das nachdetailieren betrifft hier keine Grenzen gesetzt. So wurden von mir im Cockpitbereich einige Verfeinerungen vorgenommen. Die Sitze wurden gegen Schleudersitze von Quickboost getauscht. Weiters wurde die Electronic Bay geöffnet dargestellt (Aires). Die Intake-Plugs besorgte ich mir bei Phase Hangar Resin in den USA. Die Decals dieser Variante stammen aus dem Bausatz und lackiert wurde die Maschine mit Farben von Mr.Paint

After 6 months of construction, I finally finished my phantom of the VMFA-115 „Silver Eagles“. Since I built the Boeing F / A-18 A + of the same Squadron about 2 years ago, I immediately realized that it had to be this colorful version! The kit comes from Hasegawa and could be built without major problems. Of course, the modeler, as far as the details are concerned, here are no limits. So some refinements were made by me in the cockpit area. The seats were exchanged for Quickboost ejection seats. Furthermore, the Electronic Bay was shown open (Aires). The intake plugs were provided by Phase Hangar Resin in the USA. The decals of this variant come from the kit and the machine was painted with paints by Mr.Paint
