Als Vorbild für dieses Projekt diente ein altes Foto von dem Panzerdenkmal aus meiner Geburtsstadt Neubrandenburg. An das Denkmal kann ich mich noch gut erinnern da es direkt neben einer Hauptverkehrsader der Stadt stand und ich mit meinen Eltern dort öfter vorbeifuhren.Das Denkmal gibt es heute so nicht mehr. Es wurde nach der Wende abgebaut. Ich wollte das Denkmal so darstellen, als würde es heute noch an seinem Ort stehen.

Als Modell fiel mir dann der T-34/85 von Hobby Boss in 1/48 in die Hände. Es ließ sich ohne große Probleme bauen. Einzig die Ober- und Unterwanne wollten nicht so recht zusammenpassen. Mit ein paar Klemmen konnte dies dann aber doch bewerkstelligt werden. Die Base und der Sockel entstanden aus Styrodur und lackiert wurde mit Acrylfarben von Gunze, Vallejo und Tamiya.

Etwas Grünzeugs und Decals für das Grafitti sowie Figuren von „Black Army Models“ kamen dazu um die Szene noch etwas zu beleben.

As a model for this project I used an old photo of the tank monument from my hometown Neubrandenburg. I still remember the monument very well because it was located right next to one of the main traffic arteries of the city and I often drove past it with my parents. The monument does not exist today. It was taken down after the reunification. I wanted to present the monument as if it would still stand on its place today.

As a model I got hold of the T-34/85 from Hobby Boss in 1/48. It could be built without big problems. Only the upper and lower hull did not really want to fit together. But with a few clamps this could be done. The base and the pedestal were made of Styrodur and painted with acrylic colors from Gunze, Vallejo and Tamiya.

Some green stuff and decals for the graffiti as well as figures from „Black Army Models“ were added to liven up the scene.
